  • Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a virtual part-time position?
  • Would you be keen to put your bookkeeping expertise to use helping small businesses remotely?

  • If you’re looking for a flexible position where you can determine your weekly availability, then we might have the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to our clients
  • Support client onboarding process
  • Execute processes related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Oversee bookkeeping entries, monthly book closing and financial reporting and analysis
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships
  • Weekly one-on-one meetings with your line supervisor

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited school
  • 4+ years demonstrable experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping support, accounts payable and preparing financial reports
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Xero Accounting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • Comfortable embracing new technologies
  • High-speed internet connection with a dedicated work space
  • Ability to work standard PST business hours

Responsibilities:

  • Perform reconciliations and appraisals of accounting and financial systems
  • Assist in defining company accounting policies and ensure adherence
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for review by your line supervisor
  • Review accounting and/or regulatory reports to ensure financial compliance
  • Assist in automating and continuously improve processes
  • Perform calculations to determine tax liability
  • Prepare memorandums, letters and reports
  • Perform other ad-hoc related duties as designated by your line supervisor

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited school
  • 5+ years demonstrable experience in reconciling and balancing accounts, financial and accounting statements and reports
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to financial administration
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or Xero Accounting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
  • Comfortable embracing new technologies
  • High-speed internet connection with a dedicated work space
  • Ability to work standard PST business hours
